[New Feature] I Created an Overview Video of Snowflake Using NotebookLM's Summary Video Creation Function
This is Sagara.
NotebookLM has released a new feature that generates summary videos of provided materials. (As of July 30, 2025, it only works in English and only on the internet browser version of NotebookLM.)
To test this feature, I used Snowflake documentation as a source and created an overview video about Snowflake, which I'll summarize here.
Creating a Summary Video
I launched NotebookLM and set the following four articles as sources:
After uploading the sources, I clicked on "Video Explainer" from the "Studio" menu in the top right.
Then, it displayed as shown below, and I waited for the video to be created. (In my case, it took about 15 minutes.)
When the video was created, it appeared as shown below. Options for downloading and sharing are available.
Reviewing the Created Video
The video I created is available here:
Below are screenshots from the video, showing how it summarized Snowflake's three-layer architecture, differences between editions in table format, proportion of available regions, and more.
Finally
I tried out NotebookLM's new feature that generates summary videos from provided materials by creating an overview video about Snowflake using Snowflake documentation as the source.
I was amazed at how easily it created an overview video! I look forward to Japanese language support in the future.
