[Small Note] The limit for asset group management in Trend Vision One has been increased

Are you using Trend Vision One's asset group management feature? I've previously written an article introducing this feature.

There has been a welcome update to this feature. Major limit expansions have been implemented to accommodate organizational growth and complex management structures. I'll introduce the updates and the benefits in actual operations.

What has changed?

In the update announced on August 19, 2025, the Asset Group Management limitations have been significantly relaxed.

Previous limitations

• Maximum number of asset groups: 30 groups
• Nesting level: Maximum 2 layers

New limitations

• Maximum number of asset groups: 500 groups (approximately 16 times expansion)
• Nesting level: Maximum 10 layers (5 times expansion)

This change enables more flexible and detailed asset management, even for large organizations or companies with complex management structures.

Benefits from a user perspective

1. Practical application for large organizations

With the previous limit of 30 groups, large companies with hierarchical organizational structures such as headquarters, regional offices, business divisions, and teams could quickly reach the limit. With the expansion to 500 groups, organizations with hundreds of departments or projects can now manage each unit individually.

2. Support for more detailed organizational hierarchies

The complex organizational hierarchies that were difficult to implement with the previous 2-layer limit can now be faithfully reflected with up to 10 layers of nesting.

This detailed classification allows managers at each level to manage only the appropriate range of assets. Additionally, the risk sub-index makes it possible to check risk indicators by organizational unit, enabling quick identification of problematic departments.
