Trying It Out

First, I tried operating it with just the included controller.
The controller has each command listed on it, and by entering commands while referencing them, you can make it perform predefined actions.

There are multiple predefined actions, and amazingly, motions like bipedal walking, handstands, and jumping are defined as well.
Since it can perform so many actions without any additional training, it actually reduces the motivation to add new ones.

Just operating it with a controller makes it nothing more than an expensive remote-controlled toy. That would be a waste.

The Go2 that arrived this time is the EDU version, so it comes equipped with a dock on its back containing a Jetson Orin NX 16GB.
By deploying programs and models to this Jetson, or connecting to external machines or the cloud and giving instructions via SDK or ROS 2, it can be operated externally or move autonomously.

Receiving values from cameras and various sensors, having AI think based on that input, and moving its limbs. This is exactly Physical AI.
The Go2 has the foundation for that. We can use the Go2 to pursue Physical AI.

At the Osaka office, volunteer members from across departments will work together on Physical AI.
