What is Tokyo Game Show?

The Tokyo Game Show is an exhibition of computer entertainment, including computer games, held once a year. It was held without cancellation from 1996 to 2020, but in 2020 it was postponed due to the new coronavirus at the venue and was held online only.

This year it happened again at Makuhari Messe, in Chiba, Japan. It was held for four days from September 15th to September 18th. The show is on a large scale with all the major game publishers, console makers, and mobile gaming platforms with a few indies and international booths thrown in as well.

My Experience

I went to the game show for the first time so I had a pretty exciting experience. Classmethod also organised a business solution booth for first two days.

This image is from our first day visit. Our friend's face was not present in the picture so our senior photo-shopped it :)

The first game I played was NFT. This game is about to launch in January 2023. I enjoyed but unfortunately lost.

Next I played was a motion controlled game in which I was supposed to move according to the signs on the monitor. There were three levels in which I chose easy. It was fun and interactive.

The third game was to drive a car. This was my first time driving a car and I loved it.

I had a great experience with my co-workers and I would love to attend this event again.
