Application Migration Service（MGN）で 1 台のソースサーバーから複数のインスタンスを起動できるか教えてください

困っていること

Application Migration Service（MGN）でソースサーバーからカットオーバーインスタンスを起動したあと、バックアップのために同じソースサーバーからもう一台カットオーバーインスタンスを起動したいと考えていますが、可能でしょうか？

どう対応すればいいの？

残念ながら同一のソースサーバーから複数のテストインスタンス、もしくはカットオーバーインスタンスを起動することはできません。参考資料[1][2]に記載の通り、2 台目を起動すると元のテストインスタンス/カットオーバーインスタンスは削除されてしまうので注意しましょう。

従って、もしカットオーバーしたインスタンスをバックアップ等の目的でもう一台作成したい場合はソースサーバーから再作成するのではなく、起動済みインスタンスの AMI を取得して複製することを検討しましょう。

Each new test first deletes any previously launched Test instance and dependent resources.Then, a new test instance is launched, which reflects the most up-to-date state of the source server. After the test, data replication continues as before.

For each new cutover, AWS Application Migration Service first deletes any previously launched Test instance and dependent resources. Then, it launches a new cutover instance which reflects the most up-to-date state of the source server.
