2025年11月18日にリリースされたKiro CLIは、Amazon Q Developer CLIの後継ツールとして登場しました。本記事では、macOS環境でのインストールを紹介します。

2025年11月18日、Kiro CLI がリリースされました。

Amazon Q Developer CLI の後継としてリリースされた、Kiro CLIのインストールを試す機会がありましたので、紹介します。

環境

macOS環境を利用しました。

ProductName:		macOS

BuildVersion:		25B78

インストール

公式サイトのインストーラー利用してインストールを実施しました。

1. Important! Before you can continue, you must update your PATH to include:
   /Users/<username>/.local/bin

Add it to your PATH by adding this line to your shell configuration file:
  export PATH="$HOME/.local/bin:$PATH"

2. Use the command "kiro-cli" to get started!

パス設定

  • 「~/.profile」に、$HOME/.local/binのパス設定を追加しました。
export PATH="$HOME/.local/bin:$PATH"
  • Q Developer CLI をインストール済みで、パスが設定されている場合は省略可能です

ログイン

$ kiro-cli login

ブラウザが開き、ログイン種別を選択します。

今回、「Your organization」、Q Developer PROをサブスクリプション済みの IAM Identy Centor を利用しました。

  • モデルのデフォルト設定は「Auro」でした。
  • Sonnet-4.5、4、Haiku-4.5、各モデルを明示する指定も可能でした。

まとめ

Kiro CLIのインストールを試してみました。AWS統合の「use_aws」ツールや、MCPなど含めて Q Developer CLI と同等の利用が期待できそうです。

Kiroの有償ライセンスが、IAM Identity Center 経由で利用できるようになったことで、従来の個人単位でのサブスクリプションより、管理性は向上すると思われます。

また、従来の Q Developer CLI は、IDEやマネジメントコンソールに統合された「Amazon Q」との違いが分かりにくく、混同しやすい点もありましたが、今回、Kiro CLIという固有の名称になったことで、この区別がつきやすくなり、情報収集も容易になると思われます。

Builders ID と連携した無料枠でも、Kiro CLI は利用可能です。AIを活用したCLIツールとして、ぜひお試しください。
