[アップデート]Amazon ECR Publicから直接AWS App Runnerでコンテナ起動できるようになりました

Amazon ECR Public(以下「ECR Public」という)にあるnginx等のイメージを、直接AWS App Runner(以下「App Runner」という)でコンテナ起動できるようになったので試してみました。

概要

ECR Publicのnginx等のイメージに、App Runnerで起動できるボタンが追加されました。

ちなみに "Launch with App Runner" ボタンは Amazon ECR Public Gallery に生えており、nginx のページは https://t.co/r1KqtP4jQ9、他にも App Runner の最初のチュートリアルとしてオススメの公式サンプルアプリケーション hello-app-runner https://t.co/e0TEAfozWY なんかにも生えてます? pic.twitter.com/SQS6nW0TNE

AWS公式ブログを確認したところ、対象はApp Runnerと互換性のあるWebアプリケーションイメージでした。
Fluent Bit等のロギングで使用するイメージは対象外のようです。

While browsing the gallery, you will see a 'Launch with App Runner' button for web application images compatible with App Runner. For example, you will see the button on the hello-app-runner image or Nginx Clicking this button opens the ‘Deploy Service’ page on the App Runner Management Console where you can change any of the default settings before running the container. On the other hand, this button is not available on the AWS for Fluent Bit image which is not a web application. To get started, you can also see our documentation here and App Runner’s regional availability here.

早速やってみる

ECR Publicにあるnginx公式イメージからLaunch with App Runnerをクリックします。

App Runnerのサービス設定画面に遷移しました！
設定はデフォルトのまま、画面一番下の次へをクリックします。

確認および作成画面に遷移するので、画面一番下の作成とデプロイをクリックします。

サービス画面に遷移しますので、ステータスがRunningになるまで数分待ちます。
ステータスがRunningになったら、デフォルトドメインにあるURLをクリックします。

無事にnginxの画面を確認することができました。

まとめ

ただでさえ爆速だったApp Runnerのコンテナ起動に、より磨きがかかりました。
サクッとAWSでコンテナ起動してみたい場合には、とても便利になったと思います！
