Amazon RDS のスナップショット費用がスナップショットごとに見られるようになったので、Cost Explorer の課金行を確認してみた
はじめに
2026年11月2日の What's New で、RDS のスナップショット費用をスナップショット単位で確認できるようになるアップデートが発表されました。
この記事では、東京リージョン（ap-northeast-1）の手動スナップショット1件を対象に、アップデート前後で ResourceId がどう変わったかを確認しました。課金行は Cost Explorer API で取得しています。
確認方法
対象のスナップショット
describe-db-snapshots で、スナップショットの ID、ARN、元の DB インスタンス、種別、タグを取得します。取得した ARN は、確認結果で課金行の ResourceId と突き合わせるときに使います。

対象は、タグを付けていない手動スナップショット1件です。
課金行の取得
ResourceId ごとの行は、get-cost-and-usage-with-resources で取得します。RDS のバックアップストレージの使用タイプに絞り、RESOURCE_ID でグループ化しました。

Cost Explorer のユーザーガイドによると、この API の利用には、ページ分割されたリクエスト1回につき 0.01 USD かかります。
確認結果
10月と11月の課金行
11月1日の課金行では、Estimated が true になり、ResourceId にスナップショットの ARN が入っていることを確認できました。

まとめ
Amazon RDS のスナップショットごとの課金情報を確認できるようになりました。
従来、Cost Explorer や Cost and Usage Reports（CUR）では、コスト配分タグ単位での確認はできました。今回のアップデートで、コスト配分タグが未設定でもスナップショット単位の課金情報を確認できるようになりました。
今回のアップデートを利用するには、リソースレベルのデータ（日次）が有効になっている必要があります。
get-cost-and-usage-with-resources で、11月1日以降のスナップショットの課金行を取得します。ResourceId にスナップショットの ARN が表示されない場合は、AWS Billing and Cost Management を確認してください。AWS Organizations 配下のアカウントでは、管理アカウントの管理者に問い合わせることをおすすめします。
