Gist of the AWS Summit India 2023

On 25th May 2023, Amazon Web Services (AWS) India hosted its highly anticipated event. In light of the fact that cloud computing is transforming industries all over the world, this event provided a venue for showcasing the most recent developments, ideas, and AWS solutions. Let's review the AWS INDIA Summit Event 2023's high points and discover the fascinating innovations that occurred during this historic event.

The event kicked off with captivating keynote addresses delivered by Puneet Chandok, President of AWS India. He quoted that India is aiming at “Empowering Builders and businesses to build a better India”. Descriptively he also added that he wants AWS to be a customer-obsessed technology business, and also build the best relationships with customers by providing first-hand AWS cloud experience.

His major insights were over:

  • AWS for Data
  • AWS for Generative AI
  • AWS for Modernization
  • AWS for Sustainability
  • AWS for skills

As part of AWS for Generative AI aspect he quoted Marc Andreessen's adage that “Software is eating the world” and added that now AI has started to eat the software. AWS wants to cut through all the noise that's out there and truly democratize AI, they also want to make generative AI easy to use, and cost-effective for customers. For this, they are innovating at 3 levels:

  • Amazon Bedrock
  • Amazon Titan
  • Amazon SageMaker jumpstart

Likewise, for AWS for Modernization aspect, he stated a few means to upgrade the cloud game:

  • Move to Cloud-native architecture
  • Move to managed cloud Services
  • Move to managed databases
  • Move to open source

Likewise, for AWS for Sustainability, he quoted that there’s no time to negotiate with nature, hence we are left with the only option to come up with more eco-friendly methods to run our business. Amazon and Global Optimism announced The Climate Pledge, a commitment to meet the goals of the Paris Agreement to achieve net-zero carbon by 2040.

Later in the keynote, the talks were followed by many other prominent leaders of several organizations. They discussed their current status and future plans with AWS. After the keynote, other technical tracks on a wide range of topics were offered.

As an online attendee, I acquired heads-up over the current and future trends of AWS and expanded companies. Technical tracks had impressive content to up-skill one’s knowledge over AWS resources. Kudos to the whole AWS team and partners who pulled off this wonderful event.

Thank you.
